The strategic discovery, planning, and assessment portal is a resource and toolkit that provide right sized and self-guided local efforts, as units, programs, or offices to advance equity, diversity, and inclusive excellence in service of the university institutional mission and priorities.

The Assessment

The UNCG Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Screening Tool (EDIST) is a brief (10-item) organizational assessment focused on four domains: organizational mission and commitment, planning, resources, assessment, and sustainability. The EDIST identifies four organizational profiles:

  • Pre-Engagement
  • Emergent
  • Building
  • Sustaining

In keeping with the UNCG Action Framework and Roadmap, the portal provides resources for education, professional development, and training, to assessment strategies and data sources matched to the focus of each profile.
